Detroit, MI - Ford Motor Company has issued a critical do-not-drive advisory for owners of certain vehicles who have not yet addressed a recall involving defective parts.
The recall affects millions of vehicles across several Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury models, as well as Mazda vehicles equipped with specific components. At least 27 fatalities in the United States have been linked to the defective parts, according to regulators.
Ford has urged affected drivers to contact dealerships immediately for free repairs. The recall covers vehicles that have not yet received repairs under previous recall notices.
The do-not-drive advisory applies to all unrepaired recalled vehicles, regardless of the model year. Ford strongly advises owners to stop driving their vehicles and arrange for repairs as soon as possible.
