WEB Announces Youth League Ratings and Age Cut-Offs
Junior and Sub-Junior Leagues to Implement Changes for 2024-25 Season
The Western Egmont Bureau (WEB) has announced the ratings and age cut-offs for the Junior and Sub-Junior Youth Leagues for the 2024-25 season. These changes will affect all players participating in the leagues, and it is important for clubs and coaches to be aware of the requirements before the season begins.
For the Junior League, players must be born on or after January 1, 2009, and have a WEB rating of 1500 or higher. For the Sub-Junior League, players must be born on or after January 1, 2011, and have a WEB rating of 1200 or higher.
These changes have been made in order to ensure that players are competing against other players of a similar skill level. The WEB believes that this will create a more competitive and enjoyable environment for all players.
Clubs and coaches are encouraged to review the new ratings and age cut-offs before the start of the season. Players who do not meet the requirements will not be eligible to participate in the leagues.
