Williams Racing has confirmed that young American driver, Logan Sargeant, will remain with the team for the 2024 Formula 1 season. The 22-year-old made his F1 debut with Williams in 2023, becoming the first American driver in the series since Alexander Rossi in 2015.

Logan Sargeant's Impact in 2023

Sargeant's rookie season in F1 was a challenging one, with the American finishing 21st in the Drivers' Championship with just one point to his name. However, Williams team principal, Jost Capito, has praised Sargeant's progress and commitment throughout the year.

Capito stated, "Logan has shown great potential in his first year in Formula 1. He has learned a lot and has made steady progress. We believe that he has the talent and determination to succeed in this sport, and we are excited to continue working with him."

Expectations for 2024

With a year of experience under his belt, Sargeant is expected to make further progress in 2024. The team is hoping that Sargeant can challenge for points more consistently and potentially score his first podium finish.

Williams has also confirmed that Sargeant will be partnered by Alex Albon once again in 2024. The Anglo-Thai driver had a strong season in 2023, finishing in the top ten on several occasions.
